The Arc of Anchorage is accepting applications for Individual Service Providers (ISP). Our ISP program provides support for individuals who experience disabilities. ISP’s assist individuals in pursuing goals related to community activities, social interactions, essential life skills and personal hygiene tasks. As an ISP, you can make a difference is someone’s life. These positions may work independently but maintain close contact with their supervisor and team. Each worksite is based on the needs of the individual and may be in a private home, school, agency facility or a community setting.

Access Alaska’s Interior Regional Director is the functional leader and manager for all independent living services provided through our Fairbanks office. As a leadership team member, the individual helps plan the corporation’s strategic direction, and develop the financial and human resources needed to carry out our strategic business and service plans. The successful candidate must demonstrate a heartfelt and passionate understanding of the independent living philosophy, and be aware of the impacts Access’s programs and services have on both our consumers and Alaska’s independent living movement overall.
Our preferred candidate will have a BS/BA in human services plus 2 years of advanced formal education in a specialty areas closely related to the position. The individual will have 6-8 years of directly applicable management, supervisory, and leadership experience also in a specialty area closely related to the position.
Qualified individuals must possess excellent knowledge and skills in: executive leadership, organizational and financial management, public speaking, legislative process, board & executive collaboration, written communications, grant and contract processes, corporate strategic and business planning, policy development, and project management and organization skills. Our preferred candidate will also be familiar with the ADA, state and federal programs and services for people who experience a disability, and the independent living needs of our target population.
